May 4th Visitor Center

The problem was solved with a three-part solution. The space was divided into two exhibit spaces, one permanent, one temporary/changing. The permanent exhibit will provide a factual time line experience of the events leading up to, during and after May 4, 1970. The rotating gallery will provide a place for discussion of issues that caused and stemmed from May 4 that still affect us today. Art of all kinds will be shown, as well as artifacts from the archives in the Kent Library. The third piece will be a donor installation running the entire facade of Taylor Hall overlooking the hill of daffodils. This piece will lead visitors in and out of the external space and provide a place for donors to leave their own remembrance or opinions of May 4th.
